SUCCESSFUL CROWD MANAGEMENT TEST AT TT FESTIVAL IN CENTRE ASSEN

The TT Festival is already a week away, but how much we are still reminiscing! At the festival, we introduced our new label OmniDrones Security, with which we partnered with JenS Security B.V. tested crowd management and security with a drone for the first time.

Sander ten Bosch, director of the TT Festival: "For one drone, you need seven regular cameras. These all have to have exactly the right viewing angle, otherwise a place quickly looks too crowded. You don't have that with drones. So this test is hugely interesting for us as a festival."

This test took place above the roof of the HEMA which meant we did not fly directly over the audience, because safety first! The drone gave us a perfect aerial viewing angle that allowed us to monitor the audience up to one kilometre away. Also, the drone footage was directly connected to the control room, to test whether this provided a better overview in the festival control room.
