C1 LABEL FOR DJI MAVIC 3

The Dji Mavic 3 is the world's first C1-labelled drone, DJI announced last week. The C1 label will apply from the last quarter of this year and this means that users of the Dji Mavic 3 will be allowed to fly in the Open subcategory A1.

Do you already own a Mavic 3? Then you can download a new update at the end of this year so that your drone falls under the C1 label.

For new users of the Mavic 3, it means no A2 drone licence needs to be obtained. In fact, with the C1 label, it flies in the A1 category, and is therefore allowed to fly closer to people.
